AMR Provenance Chain

Trust through technology

Blockchain Explained

Blockchain Simplified

Richie Etwaru explains the basics of blockchain and lays out the current state of lack of trust in commerce.  Every company is currently at risk of being disrupted or incurring severe strain if it does not adopt blockchain.

Financial Blockchain

Author of best seller "Blockchain Revolution", Alex Tapscott shares in this talk about how the technology of blockchain is putting trust back into business and the world.

Crypto Currency

A  crypto currency is a digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange using cryptography to secure the transactions and to control the creation of additional units of the currency.  Crypto currencies use decentralized control as opposed to centralized electronic money/centralized banking systems.

AMR Provenance Chain

Integrated trust technology.

AMR’s Provenance Project utilises blockchain technology to enable secure traceability of certification and other salient information in our gold supply chain. AMR’s blockchain enables every physical product to come with a digital ‘passport’ that proves authenticity (is this product what it claims to be?) and origin (where does this product come from?), creating an auditable record of the journey behind all physical products.

The potential benefits for businesses, as well as for society and the environment, are hard to overstate preventing the selling of fake goods, as well as the problem of ‘double spending’ of certifications present in current systems. The Decentralised Application (Dapp) proposed in AMR’s Provenance Blockchain is still in development and we welcome businesses and standards organisations to join our consortium and collaborate on this new approach to ethical and fair business.

AMR’s Provenance Project allows integration of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program through an ‘operations blockchain’ that will enable us to monitor, manage, track and audit our CSR targets in a completely transparent way.

AMR’s CSR program consists of three main elements:

Firstly, AMR’s environmental CSR initiatives help to reduce impacts on climate change, water usage footprint and increase energy efficiency. We will leverage our environmental CSR to improve operational efficiency, re-think research and development and seek out new and innovative technologies. Effective resource management and energy efficiency will lead to opportunities for cost savings, revenue generation and influence overall positive brand strength through positive environmental reputation.

Secondly, AMR will look to establish philanthropic initiatives and relationships with reputable charity organisations that operate and impact positive change. AMR has already established a philanthropic relationship with Paradise 4 Kids Africa. Paradise 4 Kids is a full volunteer organisation raising funds for faith, food and education in some of the poorest nations on Earth.

Thirdly, ethical labour policies which aim to provide fair working conditions and a safe environment for all employees. Continuing to help the economic growth in the communities we operate in to help drive socio-economic change.
